About Lake Travis Crisis Ministries

Lake Travis Crisis Ministries Food Pantry has been serving the community for over 35 years. We were founded in 1988 by volunteers from a local church. The purpose was simple: assist single mothers with food for their families. With the community’s involvement, we have grown into an ecumenical, 501 c(3) organization that helps hundreds of families living in the Lake Travis area. LTCM is a 100% volunteer organization, with no paid staff, and 100% of our donations come from the local community.

LTCM is supported by local churches, individuals, businesses, foundations, charities, schools, and civic organizations.

LTCM distributed 100,000 pounds of food, and responded to 3,695 requests for help in 2023.

Our Mission

Lake Travis Crisis Ministries seeks to do the most good for the most people. Our primary focus is to love and honor our fellow man as Christ loved us. The foundation of the Lake Travis Crisis Ministries is based on following the example of Jesus to “love one another.” We strive:

  • To meet short-term needs by giving immediate help of food and financial assistance to those in a crisis situation.

  • To meet long-term needs by encouraging participation in education classes, support groups, job assistance, financial, and personal counseling.

LTCM is reviewed and rated by Charity Navigator, Guidestar/Candid, and Great Nonprofits. Our tax exempt status and financial filings can be found at this IRS page - our EIN is 74-2612401.
